I am good with other dogs and cats. I am crate trained, house trained, and learning good manners. I am what my foster mom calls a soft male and will melt into your body during hug time. My foster mom loves my stunning eyes and charming personality.

My foster mom tells me I have a body of a bodybuilder. I am athletic and would love a partner that is too. Romps in the yard playing ball, going for jog or walk, or frisbee. I always bring back the toy so we can play over and over again. I do have my rest times and enjoy just snuggling.

Bayley is a 7 year old purebred, flashy brindle boxer girl who is as sweet as she can be!! She weighs about 45-50lbs and has cropped ears and a dock tail. She is housebroken, crate-trained, UTD on shots, and is heartworm negative and on preventative meds, as well as on flea/tick medication. She is also micro-chipped.

Bayley was surrendered by her owner earlier this year when he could no longer take care of her. At the time, Bayley was heartworm positive, but has been treated for heartworms and has been tested negative.

Despite being considered a senior boxer, she lives a full life and has many years ahead of her. She loves running in her foster Mom’s back yard, is quite a lady on nice long walks and on car rides she is a great passenger! Chewing on a good bone is heaven to her, but her very favorite pass time is snuggling up in bed with you!

She is enrolled in obedience class, but already knew commands like “sit, paw, and kennel” And she is learning quickly to play fetch and tug-of-war. Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks! She knows no stranger and thinks everyone should give her attention.

She gets along with other dogs as long as they aren’t up in her face, but what dog doesn’t! But we would prefer a home where she would be an only dog who would get all the attention she so much deserves. She thinks cats are something to play with, so a dog friendly cat would be ok.

Miss Pitunia rocked the role of Bull’s Eye in Oliver.

The Young People’s Theater of St. Charles put on the play, but none of the kids were very good at playing a dog. So the call went out for a white pit bull type dog to play Bull’s Eye. It was a bit of a stretch for Miss Pitunia, but she played the male dog role quite well (too bad Lassie was cancelled). She had the audience believing she was afraid of her owner in the play, Bill Sykes, when she really likes the actor, Luke.

Miss Pitunia was dog-tired after the first weekend (four shows in three days), but was fully recovered and ready for the next (and last) four shows last weekend. She loved the attention and extra treats she got and I don’t know how we and Mr. Hyde will live with the diva going forward.

Miss Pitunia converted the few people in the theater troupe who had negative attitudes towards pit bulls. Once those people got over their prejudices and interacted with Pittie, they were converted to accepting pit bulls for what they are: great dogs.
